Wildfires deal blow to Turkey's tourist season Lives have been lost and villages have been evacuated as southern Turkey battles a spate of wildfires. Tourists were evacuated by sea from Bodrum hotels, and villagers faced down flames with garden hoses as fires swept through a landscape left dry from a heatwave that has seen temperatures reach over 40 degrees.26 July 2021

83 million USD complex to be built in Bodrum Bodrum, known as the Turkish Riviera, is set to become the home of a massive new sports and entertainment complex. It will be built, aided by Russian Technology, the head of the Russian-Turkish Business Council explained in a statement.22 July 2021
Turkey safe haven for investors according to Vice President Fuat Oktay, the Vice President, said during a joint news conference in Ankara with the President of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, that the Turkish economy had displayed a “very successful performance” during the coronavirus pandemic, which highlighted that the sectors’ investments, both public and private, had continued without slowing or stopping.20 July 2021
15,000 Russians arrive every day in Antalya The General Manager of Fraport TAV Antalya Airport, Deniz Varol said that air traffic has surged with flights from Russia. Planes have been arriving in Antalya after a two-month suspension in flights. More than 110,000 Russians have arrived in Turkey in the past week alone.20 July 2021

After 5 years Restoration, Sumela Monastery opens In the Black Sea province of Trabzon, the Sumela Monastery has finally re-opened to visitors after undergoing a 5-year restoration project in Turkey. The monastery is also referred to as Mother Mary, or Virgin Mary, and is carved from rocks in a wooded slope of Mt. Karadag in Macka which sits 984 foot (300 metres) above the Altindere Valley.
