Turkish Delivery Service Getir opens in Spain Successful Turkish delivery service company, Getir, have recently announced that they are launching and expanding in a further two international cities, those cities being Madrid and Barcelona in Spain. Getir explained that these new launches have been made possible by acquiring BLOK, a rapid delivery service company in Spain.29 October 2021
Kusadasi cruise destination to have “Best Year Ever” The resort city in Turkey’s Aegean, Kusadasi, is expected to record its greatest number of cruise ships docking in its port next year, after having been majorly disrupted by COVID-19. Kusadasi is one of the main tourist attractions situated within the western Turkish province of Aydin.29 October 2021
Sea Taxi Returning to Istanbul after 9 years The sea taxi is due to launch once again in Istanbul after a 9-year hiatus, according to the company that originally operated the sea taxis. Even though the Bosphorus waterway and regions along the shore are split into the Black Sea and the Marmara Sea, transportation by sea in Istanbul has been limited to passenger ferries.29 October 2021
100 new Metrobuses to be made in Istanbul Otokar, the company that currently produces and manufactures the passenger buses for the IBB (Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality) have announced that they will now be producing the metrobuses in the city. Otokar received a letter of invitation after they had submitted the best tender bid to acquire 100 metrobuses in Istanbul.26 October 2021
Turkey's citizenship-by-investment scheme tightens up A popular but "unethical" practice among real estate companies has prompted a tightening of regulations, putting the brakes on the flood of investors seeking citizenship by investment. Turkey to work with Serbia for Passport-free travel Mevlut Cavusoglu, the Turkish foreign minister recently announced plans for Turkey to work alongside Serbia to allow citizens from both countries to enjoy passport-free travel. Cavusoglu made the announcement after he attended a news conference with Nikola Selakovic in the Serbian capital of Belgrade.10 October 2021

Brits flood into Turkey, a welcome tourism boost Turkish tourism has been given a much-needed boost with an influx of British tourists. Turkey has been removed from the UK's "red" list, which required holidaymakers to quarantine on their return from holiday. One-and-a-half-thousand tourists touched down in Mugla last week, as barriers to travel were removed and holidays sought.22 September 2021

Number of Turkish Internet users up to 82.6% The Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) recently confirmed that there has been a huge increase in the number of internet users in Turkey, as well as a boost to the number of households that have internet access. In terms of internet users, figures show that there has been an increase from 79% last year to 82.6% this year.19 September 2021
